Virtual Event on Carbon Capture and Sequestration How can the country's carbon reduction goals be met while providing the energy needed?
The talk around carbon sequestration has seen a rebirth lately as companies and the government consider ways to meet the country’s carbon reduction goals.
The Department of Energy has funded a Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) study on the Prairie State Generating plant to scale up the technology of carbon capture and geologic storage as one way to meet these needs.
Hear about the technology that removes the CO2 from the flue gas of a coal fired power plant, extracts the CO2, compresses it and injects the CO2 into permanent geologic storage.
And, some of the hurdles along the way!
