Marketing and Communications Director, Michigan Saves

Tanya Baker is the director of marketing and communications for Michigan Saves — a nonprofit managed by Public Sector Consultants that is dedicated to making energy improvements easy and affordable for the state’s energy consumers. In this role, she develops and manages communication materials, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities to advance the organization’s strategic objectives and brand.
Before joining Michigan Saves in 2018, Tanya served in state government for several years, where she managed communications and media relations on a host of issues. Most recently, she served as deputy press secretary to former Gov. Rick Snyder and prior to that, was a communications specialist and spokesperson for the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory affairs.
Tanya received her B.A. in Journalism from Michigan State University with a specialization in environmental studies.
